An electronic laboratory notebook (ELN) is a laboratory informatics solution that replaces the paper notebooks used to document laboratory experiments, their results and observations. Most scientific ELN systems are designed experiment-centric; i.e. they support and document all actions, processes, materials, results, and observations related to one or several scientific experiments.
